WILLIAM'S AMARILLO ALE Description
|
When most people think of Amarillo, they may think of a city in Texas or a George Strait song. Amarillo is also the name of a newer hop variety with a strong floral/citrus character, that has become extremely popular with many smaller brewers, particularly those brewing highly hopped IPA styles.
Our new Amarillo Ale was inspired by the Amarillo hop, but it is not an intensely hopped IPA style. Instead, we have created an easy to drink ale that has a noticeable Amarillo hop character that is not overwhelming. Think of this one as a somewhat dry ale with a strong floral-citrus accent. A great beer for the lover of balanced beers that also likes a floral hop character. Alcohol: 4.9%, IBU’s 58.
Contains 8 pounds of our blended malt extract, flavoring and aromatic hops, 125ml of liquid ale yeast, and corn sugar for carbonation. Makes 5 gallons with a starting gravity of at least 1.052. Ease of brewing: beginner

If you like the commercial Blue Moon beer this of course is superior and you don't have to add the orange slice. I find the second one tastes better than the first. Certainly, the third tastes better than the second and so on if you know what I mean :-D
