This simple instrument is used for measuring the approximate alcohol content of finished still (not carbonated) wine. To
use, hold the vinometer upside down and add a little wine to the
cup. Let the wine drip through the capillary tube and then turn it over and let
it sit for minute. The approximate alcohol content of the wine will be visible
as a thin (very thin) column. Features a 0 - 25% alcohol scale.
Keep in mind that vinometers are only fairly accurate, and your readings could be off by a percentage point or so.
For more accuracy, see our precsion Vinoferm Vinometer.
