The Blichmann Engineering TopTier Floor Standing Burner is a quiet low pressure unit that produces 72,000 BTU's, with a burner design very similar to the Hurricane Burner. Featuring solid stainless steel construction on the frame, this burner stand cannot rust (the burner element itself is cast iron). Fits any manufacturers pots up to 19.5" in diameter and up to 30 gallons. It is 17.5" across at the legs, and 9.5" tall.

This TopTier floor standing burner can be upgraded with an optional kit to fit the Blichmann TopTier modular brewing stand at a later date if desired. Includes a regulator and complete instructions. See below for optional leg extensions (to make the burner 24" tall) and stand mounting kit.

A must have item.

I love this burner.  It can bring a full 5 gallon pot of water to a quick boil. Then, hold a perfect rolling boil. The jet sound it produces at full power brings a smile to everyone's face.  A must have to best your friends at brew parties.

Well worth the money

As an extract-only brewer my needs are simple; for the past 15 years I'd lived with the average outdoor crab boiler.  When it finally rusted to un-useablity, I splurged (not sparged!) on the Blichmann.  It is worth every penny!  Fast and even heating; easily lit; well-protected from corrosion; adjustable wings to keep pots from sliding.  Optional longer legs are easy to install, and gets boiling pot above the disc herniation level.  Spend the extra $60 over your average krab kooker--you won't regret it!

Highly Recommended

Great burner.  Sturdy, stable and solid build.  

I used it on a 32 degree evening and it brought my water from 60 degrees to 152 degrees in 25 minutes with little to no breeze.  A miser on the gas consumption, my gas tank still registers as full after a 30 minute grain seep at 152 and 60 minute boil extract brew (burner was not on continuously for the grain steep) and it is quite when in operation - which is a pleasure.

So glade I didn't futz with one of the cheapo burners.  I like it so much I am thinking of buying a second so that I can do two different brews at one time.

I like my Blichmann TopTier Burner

It puts out the heat, solidly built (It is heavy, the quality kind of heavy), and simple.  I love the stainless steal.  I skipped the turkey fryers and bought the best and I am completely satisfied.  I would recommend this to my preacher's favorite grandma.

Good but not Perfect

I use 2 of these burners for my all-grain setup - one for the HLT and one for the boiler. Compared to my old high-pressure jet noise burners they are eerily quiet. They also heat almost as fast as the old burners - maybe 20 minutes to bring 8 gallons to boil versus 15 for the old. They also consume a third less propane than the old. Only problem is that when the wind blows they lose efficiency. Need to keep them well shielded from the wind.
