BELGIAN TULIP GLASSES (SET OF 2) Description
You drink with your eyes, mouth, and nose. A beer glass does more than hold your beer; it presents your beer. Every style of beer has its own characteristics; British style ales can be low in carbonation and malty, American IPA styles pungent with hop aroma, German style light lagers crisp and aromatic, while strong Belgian ales can be strongly aromatic and effervescent. Accordingly, glasses developed in England tend to be ideal for lower carbonation draft ale and stout, while glasses originally developed in Germany run the gamut from tall curvaceous wheat beer glasses and sturdy liter mugs, to delicate Kolsch style cylinders.

Belgium was the first country to use tulip style glasses for their wildly varying ales, with goblets for the most aromatic, and snifter styles reserved for their most potent brews. Beer glasses popular in Belgium reflect the countries reputation as a producer of a wide variety of potent, aromatic ales. The tulip style is very effective in capturing the aromatic qualities of ale, with the flared opening allowing the drinker to sip the beer and foam at the same time. Sold in pairs, these glasses hold 14.5 ounces, and are 7" tall. Made in Turkey.
