APRICOT ALE Description
Apricot Ale has a light malt flavor accented with English hops and the unique fruity flavor of apricot. Not as cloyingly sweet as some fruit beers, because apricot flavor has a bit more definition than say blackberry, which gives this beer a greater depth of flavor than most fruit beers. A great beer for Summer brewing and drinking. Alcohol: 3.8%, IBUs 28. Includes 6 lbs. of our blended malt extract, English Golding hops, natural apricot flavor, 125 ml of liquid ale yeast, and corn sugar for carbonation. Makes 5 gallons of ale with a starting gravity of at least 1.040. Ease of Brewing: Beginner

Pros:  This was my first crack at brewing. I have made 6 since and I still love this ale. I am experimenting with different extract flavors with this one added during priming, just before bottling. I am making this batch again and I am overwhelmed with the quality of William's products. The hops are so much fresher than 3 other companies that I have tried over the past year and half. Also the directions are by far the easiest to follow of the other kits I have used.
Cons:  I agree with other brewers that the malt bags are the only downside. I prefer the malt extract to be in a small plastic jug (which is easier to warm and drain). I don't think the malt extract coming in a bag is a too big of a deal. I think the easy to use boxes and kit directions are far more important and a couple of good squeezes over the pot usually gets 95% of the malt out of the bag.
