The classic glass carboy, ideal for use as a primary or secondary fermenter. This 6.5 gallon size is well-suited for use as a primary fermenter. Glass is completely nonporous, and has the advantage of allowing a good look at the fermenting beret make sure they arrive in one piece, our Glass Carboys are packed in a special double box and are guaranteed to arrive unbroken. This takes the size 6.5 Stopper, E73 Carboy Handle, and E11 Glass Carboy Cap.

Pros:

Well the advantage for a 6-gallon carboy is having minimal headspace for any oxygen, while having enough for krausen. Glass is really the way to go (over plastic buckets) and the price is here is as good as it gets these days, now that they don't make them in Mexico anymore.

Cons:

Don't drop it! You'll definitely want to consider adding a handle at minimum, possibly a carboy parka.
