Unlike fish fry type outdoor cookers with a single jet instead of a burner, our all-steel Cache Cooker Outdoor Burner features an adjustable gas burner, for precisely regulated, evenly dispersed heat (that, unlike single-jet cookers, will not scorch the pot bottom). They run on a barbecue-style propane tank (not included). Featuring sturdy removable steel legs, so you can choose between an 11” burner height and a 23” burner height, which is handy when you want to siphon the cooled wort into a fermenter. Will safely support a pot up to 60 quarts capacity. The top square burner pot support area measures 13” wide.

Home stoves typically have 7,000 to 10,000 BTU burners. This 60,000 BTU model will bring 5 gallons of 65° F. wort to a boil in under 20 minutes. This 60,000 BTU Cache Cooker is best for the brewer who wants to speed the brewing process (and doesn’t mind the mild jet-like noise produced by the high pressure burner or the lack of a fine simmer flame control), while the 30,000 BTU Cache Cooker (our item Q20) is for those who have a little more patience and want more control of low heat for mashing or simmering. 	by Chris L. on 5/6/2009	Very good brewing burner! Pros: Heats quickly, very stable & firm base, clover leaf surface will support many sizes of kettle. Cons: Turn on slowly so the safety valve doesn't engage. Fairly good flame control with inline valve, but not a real good low/simmer setting. Wish tank hose was a bit longer.
	by Herbert B. on 4/28/2009	Perfect Height, Very flexible Pros: Heavy duty, reliable, heats quickly, good height for brewing applications. Instead of building a complicated brew structure. I got two Camp Cheif Burners. I mount my HLT on one and my boil kettle on the other, and have my mash tun on a second hand table in between. With the legs it's high enough off the ground to easily siphon into a 6.5, or 6 gallon carboy. Heats up very fast, gets about 10 gallons to mash temps in about 40 minutes. Cons: Sensitive regulator, limited heat control, must be burned in before brewing. The pressure regulator is very sensitive, so you have to turn the gas on very slowly after connecting. Otherwise, it will go into a safe mode, with very low pressure. For boiling, and and LHT the heat control is fine. There is not enough fine grain control to use directly with a mash tun. The first time you use the burner the paint burns off creating toxic smelling fumes. Before brewing in a garage, or well ventilated basement. You need to run this outdoors for a few minutes, until the paint has burned off.
	by Bob Brewski on 3/13/2008	High Pressure Burner Rocks Pros: Heavey duty unit feels sturdy and is sturdy. The removable legs are a bonus. Different situations need different set ups and I have been safe and confident no matter how I use it. Cons: None yet. I will let you know!
	by Kelly R. on 9/20/2007	Awesome Burner! Pros: This burner is a great high pressure burned. When all you need is consistent, high heat, this is your burner. If you need something more adjustable, go with the low pressure burner. Adjustable legs are a bonus! Cons: None that I can think of.
