3/8" KETTLESCREEN FOR KETTLEVALVE Description
Turn any pot into a mash tun. This all stainless screen screw into the threaded back inlet the Brewers Edge KettleValve, allowing you to mash or strain out whole hops from the boil (these tend to clog when using a lot of pellet hops). Features 3/8" NPT male threads to fit the Brewer's Edge Kettlevalve. (does not fit Polar Ware or Zymico products). This also fits a 10 gallon Igloo cooler when used with a KettleValve. Made from 14 gauge stainless wire. 12" long.
I use a Rubbermaid cooler for my mash tun with a stainless false bottom. Every other brew, I ended up getting a stuck mash, but this instantly solved the problem. Very little grain passes through and it is easy to remove for cleaning.
Cons:
I had to bend the end so it could fit in the cooler, but it is still very effective.
